Art Foundation supports Sixth Avenue improvement
Chaden Halfhill, president of Silent Rivers Inc. and founder of Indigo Dawn LLC, has been selected to develop pubic art design concepts along a 1.2-mile stretch of Sixth Avenue in Central Des Moines. The Greater Des Moines Public Art Foundation awarded $20,000 to 6th Avenue Corridor Inc. to support the project and allow for the early integration of art during the nonprofit organization’s streetscape improvement planning process.
