The B.Well Foundation will host its LongShots 3×3 Basketball Tournament and Community Celebration on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Evelyn K. Davis Park. The event is a fundraiser for the Des Moines Public Schools’ high school basketball programs. Each participating high school will receive a $1,000 donation from the foundation, according to a press release. The DMPS high school teams will compete in the 3×3 tournament, and student-athletes from Special Olympics and elementary basketball will be spotlighted at halftime. The event will also include food from local vendors, a community art project and breakdancing.
