Brian Beckett has been named chief financial officer for Kum & Go, a convenience store chain based in Des Moines. Beckett succeeds Erin Kuhl, who is now chief financial officer for Krause Group, Kum & Go’s parent company. Beckett most recently was vice president of finance and treasurer at Vertex Software, a cloud-based 3D visualization company based in Ames. Beckett, who has a master’s degree from the University of Iowa and is a certified public accountant, has also worked at West Des Moines-based Athene USA as a senior director in the accounting and transaction advisory group. Beckett began working in his new position today.
