The U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants’ Des Moines field office announced that an Iowa donor has pledged to match every dollar donated to the organization, up to $125,000. The pledge comes as USCRI has been forced to reduce staff and limit services due to executive orders, changes in federal policy and funding restrictions from the White House, a news release said. The funds from donations will support services such as youth programs, English classes, health care navigation, employment support and legal assistance to immigrants.
