The University of Iowa and Hawkeye Sports Properties have entered into a multiyear marketing partnership with Big Grove, positioning the Iowa brewery as the official craft brewery of the Iowa Hawkeyes. The deal will also give Big Grove a marketing presence across Hawkeye sports venues starting in the fall athletics season, according to a July 15 news release. The agreement with Big Grove was created through UI Athletics’ multimedia rights holder, Hawkeye Sports Properties, the local subsidiary of Learfield, the release said. Big Grove was founded in 2013 with a 3.5-barrel brewhouse in Solon and now has brewery and taproom locations in Iowa City, Des Moines and Cedar Rapids.
