The award recognizes Bondurant’s approach to integrating public art, cultural initiatives and community wayfinding into everyday city planning. The Arts, Culture, and Wayfinding Master Plan, adopted in February 2024, is driving much of the city’s success, the city said in a news release. The plan has unlocked new funding opportunities and secured more than $175,000 in grants to put toward city projects. “Our Arts, Culture, and Wayfinding Plan laid the foundation not only for a more beautiful and navigable Bondurant but also positioned us to successfully attract significant external funding to bring our community’s ideas to life,” Mayor Doug Elrod said in a prepared statement.
