West Des Moines-based senior living company Lifespace Communities has hired Amy Brainard as director of the Lifespace Foundation, which focuses on the health and welfare of Lifespace residents through philanthropy. She joins Lifespace from the University of Iowa, where she was a leader for advancement fundraising. “I’ve always enjoyed working with the senior population,” Brainard said. “This is a unique stage in life where many critical decisions are being made that not only impact their lives, but also their families and communities.” Lifespace President and CEO Sloan Bentley said Brainard’s extensive experience in fundraising and her vision for the foundation puts it in an excellent position for continued success.
