Gov. Terry Branstad announced the launch of a new blog designed to be a resource for Iowans interested in following education issues in the state.

The blog will be maintained by Branstad’s special assistant for education, Linda Fandel, with a goal of having a conversation about how Iowa schools can ensure that their students are globally competitive.

Fandel will examine developments shaping education reform across the state, nation and world and highlight work going on in Iowa schools, as well as places where improvement is needed, according to a press release from the governor’s office.
