Branstad names transparency adviser
Bill Monroe has been appointed a special adviser for government transparency by Gov. Terry Branstad.
Monroe will advise Branstad and other staff members on transparency issues and assist in crafting a transparent agenda. He will serve as an unpaid volunteer.
Monroe served as the executive director for the Iowa Newspaper Association from1981 to 2009.
