According to a news release, the board chose Hartz Search after several proposals from other firms were reviewed.
Officials with Broadlawns said Hartz was selected because of its “concierge-level service of executive search capabilities.”
“They utilize an evidence-based engagement process that identifies, evaluates and qualifies talent to meet strategic objectives,” officials said in the release.
Officials also cited Hartz’s belief that transparent communication is critical for establishing trust and integrity.
“Hartz Search is a trusted resource with expertise, and paired with our knowledgeable review committee, we are confident and excited for the results of this search process,” Dave Miglin, chairperson of the hospital’s board, said in the release.
The search committee will be composed of the hospital board and community and staff members, the release stated.
Broadlawns’ chief medical officer Dr. Jason Kruse will continue to serve as interim CEO until a new CEO and president has been named.
The Charlotte, N.C.-based Hartz will begin the search for a new president and CEO after Jan. 1.
