West Des Moines-based accounting firm Brooks Lodden P.C. today announced it has merged with the Des Moines area office of BerganKDV, a Cedar Rapids-based regional accounting firm. As a result of the merger, which closed Sept. 5, Brooks Lodden has adopted the BerganKDV name. The combined BerganKDV Des Moines office will have a headcount of 61, including 31 individuals from Brooks Lodden, the firms said in a news release. The combined staff will relocate to the Paradigm Building at 12100 Meredith Drive in Urbandale, with the move slated for late November and an open house and ribbon cutting projected for December. The new location will encompass about 17,000 square feet. “The synergy we are producing will benefit all involved,” said Des Moines Market Leader Adam Tillman. With the merger, “we are both broadening and deepening our service offerings,” said Tony Wagner, a Brooks Lodden shareholder. Shyft Collective worked with BerganKDV on site selection and the overall fit and layout of the new workspace, and Pigott has been involved in the overall design and interior finishes for the office.
