The Des Moines chapter of the American Heart Association has announced its executive leadership team for the 2011 Start! Heart Walk to be held June 18 at the state Capitol. Ed Brown, CEO of the Iowa Clinic, and Jason Hellickson, chief operating officer of Holmes Murphy & Associates Inc., will co-chair the event, which annually draws more than 1,500 walkers. The American Heart Association hopes to raise $250,000 from the event, with the goal of reducing deaths from heart disease and stroke by percent by 2020.
