Buy Fresh, Buy Local harvest fundraiser set
Greater Des Moines Buy Fresh Buy Local (BFBL), a project of Drake University and Iowa Heartland Resource Conservation and Development, will host 200 supporters on Oct. 9 at its second annual Harvest Party fundraiser. The menu will include salads to desserts featuring foods grown this year in the nine county Greater Des Moines BFBL region. The event will be at Drake’s Olmsted Center.
