Candidates for Des Moines police chief narrowed to final four

The final four are Michael Davis, police chief of Northeastern University in Boston; Allen Tunks, police captain with the Des Moines Police Department; Stephen Waymire, police major with the Des Moines Police Department; and Dana Wingert, police major with the Des Moines Police Department. The formal interview process will take place Jan. 28-29 and will include a city tour, public reception and interviews with community stakeholders and union leaders.
