Canstruction event scheduled for March 26
The Iowa Chapter of the American Institute of Architects will hold its 15th annual Central Iowa Canstruction charity event on March 26 in the Capital Square atrium. The competition challenges local architects, design professionals, engineers and students from area schools to design and build sculptures using canned food as their primary building material. The public is invited to bring canned items to donate to the Food Bank of Iowa and watch the teams build the “Canstructions” from 7-11 a.m. on March 26. An awards ceremony will be held at noon on March 27.
