The Legacy Project: Career Ready Collective, a six-week career development program for youths, will return for a second year beginning June 13. The purpose of the Career Ready Collective is to introduce youths to a variety of professional skills that will increase their knowledge and confidence, according to a news release. The program is funded by the Principal Charity Classic’s Legacy Project with support from Sammons Financial. The session topics will include discussions on professional presence, building a resume, time and stress management and personal finance. The programming aligns with the goals of the Greater Des Moines Partnership’s DSM Workforce Collaborative, including enhancing workforce readiness through professional development and work-based learning experiences. “We are thrilled to kick off the second year of the Career Ready Collective program and continue building on the momentum from last summer,” Lexi Shafer, director of workforce at the Greater Des Moines Partnership, said in a prepared statement.
