Casey’s finalizes Fikes Wholesale acquisition

91 wordsAll Latest News, Retail and BusinessCasey’s General Stores Inc., whose headquarters is in Ankeny, has finalized its acquisition of Fikes Wholesale, owner of CEFCO Convenience Stores, Casey’s announced in a news release. The acquisition, the largest in Casey’s history, was finalized on Nov. 1. CEFCO has 148 stores in Texas and 50 stores in Alabama, Florida and Mississippi. Casey’s, the third largest convenience store retailer in the U.S., now has about 2,900 stores in 20 states. In the coming years, the CEFCO stores will be rebranded as Casey’s General Stores, a company spokesperson said.
