Casey’s General Stores nationally recognized for gender-balanced board

The global education and advocacy campaign tracks gender composition of corporate boards on the Russell 3000 Index. According to a press release, Casey’s is one of 6% of Russell 3000 companies with a gender-balanced board. Women hold five out of the nine board of directors seats at Caseys. “At Casey’s, we are committed to gender balance and diversity and are honored to be recognized for the women representation we have on our Board of Directors,” said Darren Rebelez, president and chief executive officer at Casey’s. “We also recognize that there is still work to be done and we challenge leaders to continue advancing gender balance and diversity throughout their organizations.” Last fall, Fearless examined representation of the largest 22 employers in Iowa and found that women made up 34% of board of directors positions.
