Catch Des Moines, Central Iowa’s tourism industry organization, recently announced its 2024 Local Champions, Business and Member Awards during its annual celebration on Oct. 9. “Our Annual Celebration honors the successes of not only our team at Catch Des Moines, but the businesses, communities and individuals who help make an impact,” Catch Des Moines President and CEO Greg Edwards said in a prepared statement. “Each year we receive more and more support from our locals. This is a way we can recognize and celebrate these key players who are assisting us in bringing in and supporting more events, which create lasting impressions.” Honorees included Greater Caterers of Iowa, Polk County Emergency Management and Scott Wunn of the National Speech and Debate Association.
