Catch Des Moines won a silver award in Northstar Meetings Group’s second Stella Awards, in the best convention and visitors bureau/destination marketing organization. The Stella Awards honor excellence in the meetings industry annually. Winners include the hotels, convention centers, conference centers, convention and visitor bureaus, destination marketing organizations, destination management companies, airlines and cruise lines. Finalists were chosen in a vote by meeting planners that drew 10,000. Winners were selected by an expert panel supervised by the editors of Meetings & Conventions and Successful Meetings. Overall, 532 entities worldwide were nominated in 18 categories.
