Catholic Charities hires programs director

127 wordsAll Latest News, Arts and Culture, On the MoveCatholic Charities, a human services agency of the Diocese of Des Moines, has hired Scott Caldwell as director of programs. Caldwell was most recently an outpatient therapist manager with a community mental center in Davenport, and was previously director of mental health services with Lutheran Services in Iowa. With LSI, he had oversight for outpatient and school-based services for 19 LSI sites, including Des Moines. In his career as a therapist, he has worked with individuals, families, couples and adoption/foster care. He was formerly a director with United Way of the Quad Cities on early childhood and school-age community initiatives and adolescent services. He currently serves as a peer reviewer for the Council on Accreditation, an international, independent, nonprofit human service accrediting organization that accredits Catholic Charities.
