Central College receives grant from Iowa Wildlife Diversity Program

83 wordsAll Latest News, Health and WellnessCentral College received a $2,500 grant from the Iowa Department of Natural Resources Iowa Wildlife Diversity Program to determine if forest management practices under evaluation for invasive honeysuckle control have the potential to affect overwintering amphibians, Central College announced this week. The study will be led by Nicole Palenske, associate professor of biology, and conducted with Central students in south-central Iowa. The project is a joint venture of Central and the Iowa DNR; work began in November 2019 and will continue through 2021.
