Central Iowa Artists Coop gallery to close
The Central Iowa Artists Coop gallery located in Merle Hay Mall will close on Jan. 30, co-owner Dana Barre said.
Thirty Central Iowa artists have sold their works through the gallery, which Barre launched with co-owner Monika Agic in September 2009.
“I think the folks we had come in really appreciated the art that we had, but the sales just weren’t there,” he said.
The gallery’s remaining weekend hours will be Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sundays noon to 5:30 p.m.
