Charlotte and Fred Hubbell have joined the Community Foundation of Greater Des Moines Leadership Circle, a group of donors who pledge $2 million through initial contributions and deferred gifts. The resulting endowment supports projects and causes with long-term community effects, addressing the most critical needs in Greater Des Moines.

The circle recently funded the Evelyn K. Davis Center for Working Families and the Des Moines Public Charter School.

“Charlotte and Fred have a history of supporting our community, and their participation in the Leadership Circle furthers their legacy of giving,” Kristi Knous, vice president of the Community Foundation, said in a news release. “The Leadership Circle provides a unique model to leverage gifts and increase community impact.”

Leadership Circle members include: Sunnie Richer and Roger Brooks; Suzie Glazer Burt; Patty and Jim Cownie; Michele and Barry Griswell; Charlotte and Fred Hubbell; Sharon and Kyle Krause; Jill and Mark Oman; and Emily and Fred Weitz.
