The Chrysalis Foundation, a Des Moines-based nonprofit, announced over $100,000 in 2025 Chrysalis Community Partner grant awards to 34 local nonprofit organizations. The foundation selected organizations that are aligned with its mission to ensure the safety, security, education and economic empowerment of girls and women in Greater Des Moines, according to a news release. Chrysalis also offers the nonprofit organizations access to free services including training, coaching, strategic planning and technical assistance. “Our focus on the needs of girls and women continues to guide our grant awards,” Terry Hernandez, executive director of Chrysalis, said in a prepared statement. “In providing a Community Partner grant, we create a working relationship with each organization to ensure they are as effective as possible. This is what our donors entrust us to do.” Since 1989, Chrysalis has awarded $5.7 million through its Community Grants Program.
