Clive hires new leisure services director

Brown, who will be paid $118,000 annually, currently is Des Moines’ assistant parks and recreation director. At Clive, Brown will lead the city’s library and the Parks and Recreation Department. He has more than 16 years of experience in park and trail development, recreation services, and urban planning. Brown replaces Todd Seaman, who is retiring in April. Brown begins his new job March 23. Brown “has a wealth of experience and talent that will help us keep creating places where we can come together and build community,” City Manager Matt McQuillen said.
