The small-business advocacy organization promotes the interests of small business to federal policymakers on a nonpartisan basis, the NSBA said in a release. Reed returned home to Greater Des Moines in late 2015 after spending 20 years as a complex systems integrator across the country and internationally for NASA, the Department of Defense and the consumer electronics and automotive industries. He founded Madréal Solutions LLC in Clive and is currently president of the board of the West Des Moines Business Incubator and serves on the public policy committee for the Technology Association of Iowa. “As a small-business owner, I see daily the importance of being involved and active when it comes to laws and regulation,” Reed said. “Joining NSBA’s Leadership Council will enable me to take our collective small-business message to the people that need to hear it most: Congress.”
