The Community Foundation of Greater Des Moines is accepting applications for the Better Together Award, given to an area nonprofit organization, civic group or individual recognized for building social capital in the community.

If an individual is selected, he or she will receive a $1,000 award to donate to a charitable organization.

If a nonprofit or civic group wins, it will receive a $2,500 grant. Nominations must be complete by March 15. The recipient will be announced at the Community Foundation’s 2011 Celebration Luncheon on April 27. To download a nomination form, click here.
