The Community Foundation of Greater Des Moines announced yesterday a number of additions to its board of directors and a pair of promotions.

Joining the board are: Peg Armstrong-Gustafson, community philanthropist; Richard Deming, M.D., Mercy Cancer Center; Peggy Fisher, The Stelter Company; N. Brian Gentry, Wells Fargo Bank; Steve Lacy, Meredith Corp.; Loree Miles, Miles Development LLC; Mary O’Keefe, Principal Financial Group Inc.; and Thomas Urban, Pioneer Hi-Bred International Inc.

Jessica Brown was promoted to director of marketing and communications for the foundation, and Kris Pete-Swanson was promoted to controller.
