A new program is being offered to help develop engaged and knowledgeable nonprofit leaders in the community. The For Impact Leaders program is a peer learning cohort for nonprofit staff leaders beginning in January. The program, offered by the Community Foundation of Greater Des Moines, is scheduled for nine months and offers an individualized learning experience with an emphasis on personal development that,  according to a news release, can be translated into “purpose-driven work and assist in generating a healthy and sustainable nonprofit organization.”  It is designed for full-time employees within the nonprofit sector within Central Iowa who have three or more years of professional experience. Applications to participate are due by noon on Friday, Sept. 23. Invitations to participate will be extended by Friday, Oct. 14.
