Seven community leaders will be recognized by the Greater Des Moines Leadership Institute (GDMLI) at the annual Distinguished Leadership Awards Banquet on May 3.

The event will take place at the Des Moines Marriott Downtown.

Award recipients are David Maxwell, Drake University; Joyce Chapman, West Bank; Jackie Matt, WesleyLife; Joe Gonzalez, Des Moines Police Department; David Stark, Blank Children’s Hospital; Vernon Delpesce, YMCA of Greater Des Moines; and Kim Butler, The PrivateBank.
