Ankeny-based Community State Bank announced the appointment of Brian Hannah as president. Kurt Gibson has been serving as CEO and president since 2017 and will remain in the CEO position. The separation of leadership roles is a “reflection of the bank’s growth mindset,” according to a press release.

“The addition of Brian to our organization’s leadership strengthens our ability to concentrate on the most critical priorities for our employees, clients and community,” Gibson in the statement. “He possesses the vision, drive and skillset to continue our growth pattern and transform our bank for the future.”

Hannah joins Community State Bank after serving as commercial sales manager at Bankers Trust. He has a degree in finance and management from Iowa State University and worked in banking since becoming a teller during college.

“What an honor to be part of the future of Community State Bank, continuing the exceptional growth and momentum Kurt and the team have achieved,” Hannah said in a prepared statement. “I am excited to help continue that momentum and make a difference for our community, clients and the dedicated team here at CSB.”
