Community Support Advocates celebrated the opening of its new Integrated Behavioral Health Clinic on Tuesday in West Des Moines. The 87,000-square-foot facility at 1516 Valley West Drive will allow the nonprofit public health organization to expand its services, with the clinic specializing in creative arts play therapy. The new location includes an Out of the Box Initiative representational library, an accessibility tech center supported by Google Fiber, a permanent gallery for CSA’s Momentum Arts program, and a public art installation called “Hands of Hope,” which was made from individual tiles painted by 500 different community members. “Whether it’s crisis intervention for a family in need or behavioral health services, mental health services or services for families who have those with intellectual disabilities, the services that [CSA] provides is a lifeline to these families and is so desperately needed,” West Des Moines Mayor Russ Trimble said in a prepared statement.
