Compressor Controls Corp. (CCC), an Urbandale-based maker of control technologies used in the energy and pipeline industry worldwide, held an open house yesterday to mark the completion of a one-year renovation of its 70,000-square-foot manufacturing facility at 4725 121st St. The $1.2 million project enabled the company to reconfigure its work spaces to better match work flows, with an open design to encourage collaboration, said David Coslin, vice president of engineering. “Our customers require more collaboration, and the work that we do is more complex than it was 10 years ago and requires a lot more knowledge-based interaction,” he said. A subsidiary of Roper Industries Inc., CCC employs about 190 people locally and operates 11 overseas offices.
