Coppess receives Kent Britten Memorial Leadership Award in Warren County

The Warren County Leadership Institute (WCLI) recently presented Mike Coppess, a vice president and senior lending officer at Bankers Trust Co., with the 2011 Kent Britten Memorial Leadership Award for his volunteer leadership in Warren County. The organization presented the award during its annual leadership class graduation ceremony on April 28.
“Mike is extremely dedicated to his job and always displays a high degree of integrity, responsibility and ambition,”. Suku Radia, president and CEO of Bankers Trust, said in a press release. “He is the consummate team player and a wonderful team member.”
In addition to his duties at Bankers Trust, Coppess currently serves on the Indianola Planning and Zoning Commission and is a member of the Warren County Compensation Board. Additionally, he is a past member of the Neighborhood Finance Corp. board of directors and the Indianola Parks and Recreation Commission. He also served as co-treasurer of Indianola’s 2009 RAGBRAI bid when the city was designated an overnight stop for the event.
The leadership award is named in honor of the late Kent Britten, a WCLI Class of 2000 graduate and board member until his death in March 2005.
