Corn, soybean production up
Corn production in the United States was forecast at 13.16 billion bushels, up slightly from 13.11 billion bushels in 2009, according to a U.S. Department of Agriculture report. FoodBusinessNews.net reported that the forecast for soybean production was up 4 percent on a year-over-year basis. If those forecasts are realized, both corn and soybean production would be record highs.
