Covetrus opens new distribution center in Grimes

116 wordsAll Latest News, ManufacturingCovetrus, a Maine-based veterinary service provider, has announced the opening of a new distribution center in Grimes. The new 80,000-square-foot facility will primarily serve veterinarians in Iowa and 16 other states with more than 5,000 products used to manage vet practices and treat large and small animals. Covetrus will also provide walk-in support and product pick up at the facility. The Grimes location will employ more than 40 people, a news release said. “The new distribution center in Grimes, which is one of 13 facilities in the U.S., will be our distribution hub for veterinary practices across the greater Midwest region,” Todd Worthington, senior director of operations and logistics at Covetrus, said in a prepared statement.
