CRE lobbyists spend more
A Washington, D.C.-based real estate group is spending more to lobby federal officials on behalf of the commercial property owners it represents. Bloomberg reported that the Real Estate Roundtable spent $930,000 on lobbying in the second quarter, up from $780,000 during the year-earlier period. The group lobbied on issues such as the Federal Reserve’s lending program for the commercial real estate industry and banking regulation. It spent $700,000 in the first quarter.
