Creative Visions will kick off its “I Am Green” energy-efficiency project with a series of multilingual workshops to promote energy-efficiency practices in homes in Central Iowa. In partnership with the Iowa Office of Energy Independence, MidAmerican Energy Co. and The Energy Group, Creative Visions said workshops will be held in English and four other languages: Spanish, Arabic, Chinese and Vietnamese. The goal of the project is to create “green” communities by engaging populations that are not often involved with energy conservation processes. The first Vietnamese workshop will take place from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on May 3 at Basilica of St. John, 1924 19th St. in Des Moines. For more information, go to www.creativevisions.org/green.
