Daniel Hoffman-Zinnel to leave One Iowa, named CEO for immigration nonprofit Proteus

97 wordsAll Latest News, Arts and Culture, On the MoveExecutive Director Daniel Hoffman-Zinnel will leave One Iowa on Aug. 7 after he was named the new CEO of Proteus, Inc., a nonprofit serving immigrant, underserved and low-income populations in Iowa, Nebraska and Indiana. Hoffman-Zinnel has been with the nonprofit One Iowa since January 2017, developing educational programming and leading advocacy for LGBTQ Iowans in workplace culture, education and healthcare. Hoffman-Zinnel previously worked at Proteus from 2007 to 2014 as a career development coordinator and regional director; he will begin duties there Aug. 15 and replaces Terry Irlmeier, who has served as interim CEO since April.
