The Des Moines Area Regional Transit Authority is seeking applications for its annual van donation program. According to a news release, DART donates multiple retired RideShare vans each year through the program, which was created in 2014 to help agencies provide transportation to those who may not have access to public transportation. “DART’s Van Donation program helps provide reliable mobility options for organizations that serve a diverse group of central Iowans,” said DART Business and Community Partnerships Manager Matt Harris in a release. “This program speaks directly to our mission of enriching lives, connecting communities and expanding opportunities.” The application and guidelines are available on DART’s website. The deadline to submit an application is 5 p.m. on March 31.
