DART hub groundbreaking scheduled for May 20
The Des Moines Area Regional Transit Authority (DART) will hold a groundbreaking for its sustainable transit facility hub at 11 a.m. on May 20.
The facility will be located at 620 Cherry St. The $21 million facility will replace the Walnut Street Transit Mall as the central DART hub downtown, and officials say it will come with a number of upgrades and will be a safer layout than the old location.
