According to a news release, all residents of Elsie Mason Manor, Ligutti Tower, Corinthian Gardens and Plymouth Place Apartments will have free, unlimited access to DART services. Residents can request a DART pass from their property manager and can scan the pass when boarding to ride fare-free. “Newbury Living is excited to partner with DART and offer bus service at no cost to residents of the senior living communities we manage in the downtown and Ingersoll/Grand corridor,” Sharon Wolfe, district manager for Newbury Living, said in the release. “The free bus passes will give our seniors the freedom to travel to shopping, doctor’s appointments and other critical services.” DART CEO Elizabeth Presutti said the partnership will help reduce transportation barriers for senior-living residents.
