MidWestOne Financial Group, the Iowa City-based parent company of MidwestOne Bank, named Len Davaisher as the company’s interim CEO on Aug. 12 while outgoing CEO Charlie Funk recuperates from a “serious bicycling accident,” the Corridor Business Journal reported. According to a filing on Monday, Davaisher, who has been the bank’s president and chief operating officer since July 2020, will continue in those positions while he is interim CEO. The decision follows the company’s established succession plan after it was announced in February that Funk would retire later this year, according to the filing. The company said at that time it had engaged an executive search firm to identify the next CEO and that Funk would remain with MidWestOne until a successor was chosen.
