To provide immediate financial assistance to dental practices that incurred losses from the Aug. 10 derecho storms, Delta Dental of Iowa’s Disaster Assistance Grant Program is making grants available to its network dentists. Delta Dental will award grants up to $2,000 for an individual dental practice and $4,000 for multiple-dentist practices, for dentists who have had a total or significant loss to their dental practice from the recent storms. In addition, Delta Dental and its foundation have committed more than $20,000 to derecho relief efforts to date in eastern and central Iowa. These relief efforts include monetary donations and supplies such as toothbrushes, face masks, hand sanitizer and water bottles.
