Delta to offer direct flights to Cincinnati
Delta Air Lines has announced that it will begin non-stop service to Cincinnati from Des Moines International Airport on a temporary basis this summer. From June 9 through Aug. 15, Central Iowans can fly a daily nonstop from Des Moines to Cincinnati. The flight will depart from Des Moines at 3:15 p.m. and arrive in Cincinnati at 5:55 p.m. (local times). The service will be on a 50-seat regional jet that will operate seven days per week. “Hopefully, our passengers’ response to the added service will persuade Delta to retain the flight permanently,” said Don Smithey, aviation director at Des Moines International.
