Des Moines asked to help Green on rehab project
The Des Moines City Council will be asked to approve $2 million in federal funds and $400,000 in city funds for the redevelopment of 322 S.W. Third St. for commercial and residential uses. Seven development projects were submitted for funding under a housing and business recovery program, with Green Ltd. LC winning the nod for funding from city staff. The Green project has been awarded state and federal historic tax credits. Green’s managing partner is Des Moines attorney John Shors.
