The Des Moines Symphony’s Yankee Doodle Pops and Water Works Pops concerts have been canceled because of the ongoing COVID-19 health crisis, the symphony announced this week. Canceled concerts include Aretha: A Tribute, scheduled on Sept. 5, Family Concert: Postcards from the Americas on Sept. 6, and Yankee Doodle Pops on Sept. 7. The Des Moines Symphony’s Yankee Doodle Pops will return to the Iowa state Capitol on July 2, 2021. Dates for the Symphony’s 2021 Water Works Pops Concerts will be announced at a later date.
