New York-based technology jobs website Dice Holdings Inc., which bases its operations in Urbandale, has rolled out a new tool called Open Web, Crain’s New York Business reported.

Open Web compiles information from millions of job candidates using information they’ve posted on social media websites such as Facebook and LinkedIn.

The new service takes details from more than 50 social and professional networks across billions of Web pages, and includes a candidate’s personal email address.

“All of this (information) is publicly available,” said Scot Melland, CEO of Dice Holdings, in an interview with Crain’s. “It’s just very difficult to go out and find. We’re basically taking activities recruiters do today and making it very easy for them.”

Dice Holdings provides specialized websites for professional communities. The company reported fourth-quarter net income of $9 million, or 15 cents per share, on revenues of $52.7 million. Net income for 2012 was $38.1 million, a 12 percent increase from $34.1 million in net income for 2011.
