Dimond Bikes partners with two top Ironman athletes
Dimond Bikes, a part of Des Moines-based performance bicycle maker Rüster Sports LLC, announced that it has entered into a five-year partnership with five-time Ironman Champion and ITU Long Distance World Champion Jordan Rapp, as well as with four-time Wildflower Champion and two-time Ironman 70.3 Champion Jesse Thomas. Rüster Sports founder T.J. Tollakson, a two-time Ironman champion, said signing Thomas and Rapp to ride and represent Dimond Bikes marks the brand’s growth among top-tier riders. Both athletes are entrepreneurs in their own right. Thomas is the CEO and founder of Picky Bars, a nationally distributed performance food bar company. He has an engineering degree from Stanford University and writes a monthly column for Triathlete magazine. Rapp, who has an engineering degree from Princeton University, is the chief technology officer of Slowtwitch.com, a popular endurance sports news website.
